Background

Speer has made ammunition and bullets in Lewiston, Idaho since the 1940s and is one of the most trusted names in law enforcement ammunition. Its Gold Dot line is carried by agencies across the country, and Lawman is the training ammunition built to go with it.

The TMJ bullet is plated with copper over the lead core and fully encloses it, base included. That cuts down on lead exposure and fouling at indoor ranges, which is a big reason agencies chose Lawman for high-volume training.

The .357 SIG was developed by SIG Sauer and Federal in 1994 to match the performance of the .357 Magnum in a semi-automatic pistol. It became a respected duty cartridge with federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Secret Service, the Federal Air Marshals, and the Texas and Virginia state police.
